Overhead sectional industrial door
Overhead sectional INDUSTRIAL door is one of strongest, robustly designed, securely designed industrial door systems. This door is called industrial for several reasons:
- it is suitable for larger openings,
- the speed of the opening cycle is faster than with the garage door,
- suitable for intensive use (recommended for use in manufacture, warehouses, workshops ...),
- this door is thicker than a garage version,
- rollers are improved and more durable,
- is equipped with additional wind reinforcement,
- built-in drives are reducible and suitable for a greater number of openings.
Due to this mode of operation, is can be installed in almost all openings, at an angle, with an elevated lift, with a vertical lift, etc.
With sectional industrial doors, you can take full advantage of the space in front of and behind the opening, as they open vertically and then slide under a ceiling/roof.
Isolation
The insulated sectional industrial door features a good sealing capability. The high safety of double-insulated door means that these doors are ideal for industrial buildings and outbuildings.
Why Isolation?
There are three simple reasons for choosing insulated industrial doors:
1. greater strength of the panel due to improved safety,
2. excellent thermal insulating properties,
3. to break the heat bridge, which consequently prevents condensation of garage doors on the inside!
No insulated double garage door supplied by KIP KOP d.o.o. contain CFCs, they are filled with polyurethane foam and galvanized steel construction panel has double sheathing.
The 40 mm thick construction of the filler offers exceptional strength and reduces the damage caused by collision or impacts.
Properly installed isolated industrial doors offer an incredibly high U value = 0.50W / m2 level C and, in winter, reduce the cost of heating in adjacent rooms, such as sanitary facilities, dining rooms, meeting rooms ...
Materials
KIPLIFT sectional industrial doors are made of panel plates/fillers, which consist of two layers of galvanized steel with finely powdered finish. The supplier of KIPLIFT sectional industrial is a recognised Swiss company TECSEDO. The structure of steel KIPLIFT plates of sectional industrial is usually double-coated with an insulating core. The thickness of the door filler with double coating is 40 mm.
The basic price usually covers a door wing with a woodgrain structure, except for the RAL 9007 colour, where the smooth single-line motif is included in the basic price!

Operation
The design of the mechanics of all sectional industrial doors is quite different from the swing garage doors. The suspension system helps with better and smoother operation, and is especially useful for doors of larger dimensions. All sectional industrial doors can be operated manually or remotely. In any case, the operation is very smooth and quiet due to its excellent construction and design elements. The panels of all sectional doors must have, according to the law, a design, which prevents wedging and thus any damage.
Sectional industrial doors, when they are open, offer the entire useful width, as they do not have side elevations. The height is also fully usable.
Every option has different requirements regarding the ceiling space, and, in addition, when installing the springs and guides, there are also important structural fixing points. Proper installation of these springs is essential for proper, reliable and safe operation.
The door is fitted with a bearing guiding wheel in silicone rubber, which enables quiet and easy running of the door on the guides.
Frames
Sectional industrial doors, unlike the swing doors, do not have sub-frames because they require installation directly on the construction surface or, in the case of intermodal installation, a special installation kit. The frame, in contrast to the fact that the swing doors do not have a box section or a head in the locking pins, actually only carries the equipment in the spring mechanism, but requires a solid, firm and hard surface for installation.
Size
Sectional industrial doors are extremely flexible in terms of size for two reasons.
Firstly, the entire sectional door does not lean through the opening as it is located inside the garage hole and the steel fixing frame is designed so that it can be partially visible or completely concealed.
It is only important that the inside has sufficient side (CL or Cd = min. 10 cm) ceiling space-height- lintel (at least 40 cm).
Secondly, the strength of the panels means that large widths as well as height up to 7000 mm do not pose problems. The widest current available garage door measures 8000 mm.
Installation locations
The reference dimensions for ordering always refer to the actual wall opening if the door is mounted on the inside, although the dimensions of the openings can be quite different, since the sectional industrial door does not lean through the opening and can therefore be installed for a wider or narrower opening, if there is only enough space for the door to enter.
Sectional industrial doors can be installed between wall openings, but there is no exact formula for the frame size because the requirements for the ceiling space depend on the type of equipment ordered.
Easy manual operation with excellent spring mechanism ensures smooth and quiet movement. Due to design with vertical movement, you do not need to move away from the industrial door at opening.
Manual or Remote Control
Industrial garage doors are one of the few types of doors in which manual or electric control offers the same degree of safety, which is mainly thanks to the shape and design of the door mechanism itself. KIP KOP offers various modes of operation of spring lifting whose common denominator is ease of operation!
Remote electrical control is usually highly recommended for the door of buildings, which are frequently used and is, at the industrial door version, only available for an extra charge!
Automation
In combination with high-quality electronics, sectional industrial doors are one of the safest options available for your facility, including all the advantages of insulation and panel strength. It is extremely important that the automatic industrial door is properly set up especially in the pressure of the force! In our company, this is done with professional measuring instruments KMG lite.
You can choose between different brand names for door automation. We offer high-end brands such as: LIFTMASTER, BENINCA, FORCE!
We adapt the power and type of drive to the door dimension and the calculation of torsion springs, which are precisely manufactured in the production process using a computer application. Regardless of the type of drive you choose, the remote controller is not included in the door price for an industrial version!
Similarly, all drives are equipped with a security system, if the door encounters an obstacle, they automatically stop and return back. Additional increased security can be assured by the installation of additional security systems at the request of the customer (for an additional charge).
Anti-theft security
Sectional industrial doors are undoubtedly one of the most secure types of doors available, especially due to the excellent construction of the panels and the fact that at least 5 hinges hold the door in steel profiles, which offers an excellent resistance against attempts of violent entrances. In combination with a good quality electric lock, doors are almost impossible to break in without special tools (and a lot of noise).
Security management
Safety is in the first place, so every sectional industrial lift doors from our production are equipped with:
- "finger security" protection against finger trapping,
- a spring brake for a possible uncontrolled fall of the door wing
- a brake at the break of wire ropes,
- a safety switch and an additional hydraulic closure (only doors with integrated personal door),
- safety warnings and instructions,
- safety locks and a trigger,
- unblocking, which allows the door to open at power failure.
Integrating personal door
The masterpiece of the technology, integrated personal door, is an excellent solution for the industry, which regularly uses the garage, but not necessarily for commercial purposes only. Access to tools, machines and devices is easy if you have integrated wide personal door that you can use without having to open the entire garage door.
Standard high security can be achieved with an upper door closure to ensure that the door is always closed. The doorstep is only 19 mm high and access is really very simple.
However, the magnetic sensor ensures that remote control is impossible insofar the integrated personal door is not completely closed.
Weather seals
KIPLIFT sectional industrial doors have high-quality rubber seals already installed in the lower door panel, on the sides of the frame and on the top panel band or on the top panel itself. Sectional doors, fitted properly with respect to levelled floors, can offer excellent sealing against wind, rain and insects.
Light openings
Openings for light can be installed in the door or we can make the entire light panel. Light openings can be supplied in the colour of the door, in different colours or, at the request of the customer, powder colouring of the light panel is carried out.

Warranty
Sectional industrial doors from our production have a long lifetime due to high-quality materials. Moreover, they also have a long warranty period, taking into account the recommended annual service, which is:
- 
12 years on panels (on corrosion of panels, which means a hole through the panel,
- 5 years on other moving components!
